Chicks In Crisis Teen Parent Programs

Being a parent is a tough job. “That requires you to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. For most teen mothers, teen fathers and women, parenting is a job they are struggling to cope with alone. Most of these women, young mothers and fathers lack peer, family and community support. In addition, community resources for these young mothers and fathers are hard to find and rarely customized to the special learning needs and challenges of teen parents.

Our Teen Mom, Teen Dad Program offers a combination of services including: workshops on parenting, health and nutrition, resume building, interviewing skills and finance and budgeting. Our workshops are an essential component to the success of these young mothers and fathers in becoming a good parent and financially independent. We work to empower young mothers and fathers to continue to obtain their education, learn to parent their baby and develop their own self confidence. Another component to our teen mom program is “Amber's Clothes Closet” which is open every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We offer FREE diapers, formula, baby wipes and baby clothes. We also offer professional and business casual clothes for job interviews.

Chicks in Crisis offers women and young mothers and fathers hope, support, nurturing, and encouragement to empower each young man and woman to overcome their fears and struggles.

Teen pregnancy without the proper support can lead to a host of critical social issues, such as welfare dependency, poverty, sexual crimes, physical abuse, drug addiction, and child abuse.

Women and teen mothers, whether pregnant or post-partum, are eligible to participate in the services we provide. Regardless of your age we are here to help support you become a better mother and role model.

Our goal is to inspire all women, teen moms and dads to be loving and supporting parents.
